Notice to District Families Regarding Model Policies for Discipline of Students Who Make Threats of Violence or Cause Incidents of Violence Introduction The 2023 Iowa Acts, chapter 96 (House File 604), signed by Governor Reynolds on May 26, 2023, requires the Iowa Department of Education to develop and distribute a model policy for school districts and charter schools that, if adopted, satisfies a school district's or charter school’s responsibilities under Iowa Code 279.79 established by the Act. These model policies are intended to support a school district and charter school in meeting the requirements of new Iowa Code section 279.79 and in developing policies for different grade levels that describe how a school district or charter school may discipline a student for making a threat of violence or causing an incident of violence that results in injury or property damage or assault. HS basketball coaching staff is offering a youth basketball camp for boys & girls Monday (10/23), Tuesday (10/24), and Thursday (10/26). 3rd-4th grade B/G - 6:00-6:45 PM 5th-6th grade B/G - 7:00-7:45 PM No signup or preregistration required. Youth Coaches are encouraged to attend. Hope to see you all there!

Volleyball Ticket for tonights Regional Game are available through Bound. Football Tickets for Friday's game at Wartburg are available in the office for $6, and $10 at the door in Waverly on Friday. Game Starts at 7:00 PM.

School Conferences are coming up for Jacobson Elementary and BK 7-12 students! In addition, some families will receive a special invite to visit with teachers, so please keep an eye out for notifications to schedule a conference from teachers!

Change to Conference XC Meet. The races have been moved back 30 minutes. Races will now start at 4 PM, 4:30 PM, and 5 PM

Tonights Activities: XC Will be running combined JV / Var races at NIACC. JH at 3:30 PM - Girls at 4 PM - Boys at 4:35 pm. JH Volleyball - Playing in Rockwell, 7th and 8th starting at 4:15 PM. High School Volleyball - NO JJV or JV. Senior Night will start at 6:15 PM game to start to at 6:50 PM

JH volleyball will be played in Kanawha tonight (10/5) starting at 4:15 pm. They play a single net, 7th grade will play first followed by 8th grade.

JV football in Clarion has been cancelled for tonight (10/2).

The JV football game scheduled for 9/25 in Belmond with West Fork has been cancelled.

The Homecoming Parade has been canceled for today at 2pm. There will be a community Pep Rally at the high school gym at 1:30pm. Community members are welcome to join! There has been no decision regarding tonight's game.
