Technology at Belmond Klemme Schools

At Belmond-Klemme Community School District, technology is used as a tool to enhance student learning—not replace it. We believe technology should support curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking while helping students build the skills they need for school, work, and everyday life. Our classrooms use technology in purposeful ways to strengthen instruction, personalize learning, and give students meaningful opportunities to explore, create, and problem-solve.

The technology department is committed to providing safe, responsible, and equitable access to technology so families can feel confident that digital tools are being used thoughtfully and in the best interest of every student.

BK’s technology help desk serves as the central support system for students and staff, ensuring that technology enhances learning rather than interrupts it. Whether it’s troubleshooting device issues, managing network access, or assisting with classroom tools, the help desk provides timely and reliable solutions. By maintaining a structured ticketing system, support requests are tracked, prioritized, and resolved efficiently, creating accountability and transparency. Beyond fixing problems, the help desk also plays a proactive role by identifying trends, preventing recurring issues, and supporting the overall technology infrastructure. In a modern school environment, an effective help desk is essential to keeping teaching and learning running smoothly.

  • Belmond-Klemme Internet & Device Usage Agreement

As part of our commitment to safe, responsible, and effective technology use, all students and families are asked to review the Belmond-Klemme Internet and Device Usage Agreement. This document outlines expectations for appropriate use, digital citizenship, and care of school-issued devices. Taking a few minutes to review this information helps ensure a positive and productive learning environment for everyone.

You can access the agreement here.

As we continue to rely on our devices for daily learning, it’s important that students take a few simple steps to keep them working properly.

Please remember to keep devices clean and free of debris. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe screens and keyboards—avoid food, drinks, and anything that could damage the device. A clean device not only lasts longer but also helps prevent technical difficulties.

It’s also essential that devices come to school fully charged each day. A charged device ensures students are ready to learn without interruptions and helps avoid unnecessary trips to the office for chargers.

Taking care of school-issued technology is a shared responsibility, and these small habits go a long way in keeping our classrooms running smoothly.
