Superintendent Message

It is so amazing to see and hear kids back in our school hallways. The start of the year has gone well. Jr/Sr High students have had class meetings and learned about class expectations. Elementary students have learned the expectations in their classroom and in common spaces. Taking time at the beginning of the year to teach these to our students helps create consistency and allows for class time to be dedicated to learning.

At BK, we believe that the partnership between families, communities, and the school is vitally important to the success of our students. We are proud that you have chosen to partner with us. Thank you for trusting us with your treasures. It is an honor that we do not take lightly. We are excited for the a successful start to the 2026-2027 school year! Go Broncos!

Proud to be a Bronco

Homecoming Week

Get ready to show your Bronco Pride! 🐴🏈✨ Homecoming Week is coming up September 21–25!

Homecoming is one of our favorite traditions and is a special time to celebrate our learners, honor our community, and bring everyone together as one BK family. Keep an eye on ParentSquare over the coming week for a full schedule of events, theme days, and celebration details. We can't wait to celebrate with all of you!

NIACC Career Center

We are thrilled to announce that the new NIACC Career Center is officially OPEN!

Through an exciting partnership with NIACC, Hampton-Dumont, and West Fork School Districts, our students now have access to hands-on pathways toward bright, rewarding futures in three key fields:

🩺 Health Care
🔨 Construction
⚙️ Manufacturing

Starting as juniors, BK students in this two-year program can earn industry certifications before they even walk across the graduation stage! By working together with our regional partners, we are expanding opportunities to empower every learner for success.

Summer Food Program

What an incredible summer for our BK Nutrition Program! 🍎🥛

Ensuring our kiddos are nourished, healthy, and ready to learn is a top priority, and thanks to your support, this summer was a tremendous success. Check out the impact we made together:

✨ 10 weeks of summer meal service
✨ Nearly 30,000 meals served to our young Broncos
✨ Over $100,000 in federal reimbursements brought back to support our district's nutrition program
✨ Dedicated BK students earned Silver Cord service hours by stepping up to help distribute meals to their peers!

When we invest in our children's basic needs, we set them up to reach their full potential. Thank you to our incredible food service team, our student volunteers, and our supportive community!

New Teachers

As we prepare for another inspiring school year, I am thrilled to introduce the newest members of our Belmond-Klemme teaching team. Our district is driven by a shared dedication to putting our students first, ensuring every learner is empowered to reach their full potential.

You may notice a few familiar faces in this group! We are especially proud to welcome four BK alumni who have returned to their alma mater to teach in our classrooms. Having former Broncos return to serve our school district speaks to the strength of our community and the deep pride we share in Belmond-Klemme.

Every new teacher joining us is committed to high-quality instruction, personal growth, and cultivating a compassionate environment where every child can thrive. Student success is built on a strong partnership between our schools, families, and community, and we are excited for the impact these educators will have on our students' lives.

Please join me in giving our new teachers a warm welcome to the BK family—because together, we make a difference!

No Parking Areas

We are constantly working to keep our school zones safe and running smoothly. To help ease congestion during busy drop-off and pick-up times, the city has established new No Parking zones during school hours in the following areas:

📍 Elementary School: North side of 7th St. NE
📍 Jr/Sr High School: 10th Ave

Our Goal: A safer environment for our kids and a smoother, quicker line for our parents! Thank you for your cooperation, patience, and
partnership in keeping our students safe.
