Superintendent Message

Dear Bronco Families,

I recently heard a term that perfectly describes the energy within the Belmond-Klemme School District right now: “May-Cember.” Much like the month of December, May has become a season of high energy, packed calendars, and a sense of hurried preparation. Between final concerts and spring sports to field trips and the monumental milestone of Graduation, our days are filled with the beautiful "busy-ness" of a school year reaching its peak.
While the pace can feel overwhelming, these moments are the heartbeat of our district. Every concert is a testament to our students’ dedication to the arts; every athletic event showcases their resilience; and every classroom celebration marks a year of academic growth. In May, we aren’t just checking off calendar items—we are witnessing our learners reach their full potential.
As we navigate this sprint to the finish line, I want to thank you for your unwavering partnership. Whether you are cheering in the stands, volunteering for field trips, or helping your child study for those final assessments, your support makes these milestones possible.
Let’s take a moment to breathe, enjoy the sunshine, and celebrate the incredible achievements of our students. Together, we make a difference.

With Bronco Pride,
Jenn Peter

Teacher Appreciation Week

In the midst of our busy "May-Cember," it’s time to celebrate the people who make it all possible: our teachers. Our educators are the backbone of the "Home of the Broncos," living out our mission every day by putting students first and supporting their growth with compassion.

We invite you to join us in showing gratitude next week. A heartfelt note, a quick email, or a simple "thank you" from your student means the world to our staff. Thank you for your partnership in honoring the dedicated professionals who empower our learners.

Fine Arts Concert May 8

Belmond-Klemme families and community members are invited to join us on Friday, May 8, for our annual Fine Arts Concert, a wonderful celebration of the talents of our Bronco musicians. The evening will feature performances by our junior high band, high school concert band, junior high choir, and high school choir, along with a special opportunity to hear our State Championship Jazz Band, earning Class 2A honors for the second year in a row. A Senior Spotlight will begin at 6:30 p.m., recognizing our graduating seniors, followed by the concert at 7:00 p.m. We hope you will join us in supporting the hard work and dedication of our Belmond-Klemme Broncos and celebrating the excellence of our fine arts program.

Together we feed the future: Summer Lunch Program

The Belmond-Klemme School District is excited to support our community youth through our Summer Lunch Program! From June 8 to August 10, families can pick up a week’s worth of breakfasts and lunches for every child in their household (ages 1–18).
  • Location: Jacobson Elementary (East Bus Lane)
  • Day/Time: Mondays from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Eligibility: Open to all children (BK residency not required; no income restrictions).
Participation is a "win-win": your children receive nutritious meals, and the district receives reimbursements that help sustain our programs. Watch ParentSquare for sign-up details coming soon! Together, we make a difference.
