happy teeth

The Webster County Public Health came to Jacobson Elementary April 2nd-4th for a FREE dental screening for students at BK Elementary. They also gave a fluoride varnish, dental sealants and education for students that signed up to receive it.

The Belmond-Klemme Education Association in partnership with the Dental Center of North Iowa (located in Belmond) created a Happy Teeth project in order to provide a new toothbrush and toothpaste for each student at Jacobson Elementary. With the project, the students will be able to continue to care for their teeth. We gave a total of 365 students in grade PreK-6th a bag with a new toothbrush and toothpaste to take home.

It is our goal that the continued care of our student’s teeth will help students maintain their dental health. Also, it helps communicate the importance of having a healthy habit.
