students egg project

Many may remember, when they were in school, having to create a special 'cage' for a uncooked egg in order for it to survive the ultimate "drop test".

This experiment held in Mrs. Wadsley's Physics class is designed to demonstrate the concepts of Newton’s second law, acceleration, collision, and resilience.   Students applied the principles of Newton’s second law, concepts of force and acceleration due to gravity, collision, and resilience to build a housing for an egg so that it will survive being dropped from the maximum height possible.

Students became very creative and designed various ways to keep the egg protected!  Results to follow!
