On Thursday last week, Central Rivers AEA hosted an exciting and authentic student experience sponsored by the Jacobson Institute’s BizInnovator Program. A Design Dash is a startup event which engages high school students in one-day, fast-paced entrepreneurial excursions. High school students work in teams paired with entrepreneurs/business and industry partners to solve problems they face using entrepreneurial solutions that drive innovation forward.
Shout out to Patty Reed and Diena Mennenga for collaborating to connect students of interest to this opportunity. Patty brought the team to Cedar Falls for the event, and here are the students who attended: Cejay Baxter, Jaidynn Knapp, Bailey Wyman, Nevaeh Hansen, Jose Alfaro, Jayden Halfpop and Sidnye Pike.
Ms. Reed - The kids had a blast! I was very proud of them all! We even took home some honors! One group of two of our girls got the top investors award!
