The Future Business Leaders of America enjoyed a fun and informative field trip on October 15th. The students began with a tour of NIACC to explore their skilled trades programs and gain a deeper understanding of the various trades offered.
The second location visited was Cabin Coffee Company's roasting facility. During this tour, students learned about the company's origin, growth to 23 franchise locations across the United States. they also heard about the key operational aspects such as coffee bean importation, the impact of tariffs, and the development of their slogan. The session was so engaging that we unfortunately did not take photos.
The third stop was the new Surf Music Enrichment and Immersive Center, which was impressive! The students experienced the history of the Surf Ballroom through an immersive 360-degree presentation. They also learned about the vision for the Surf District. Finally, FBLA students had the opportunity to tour the Surf Ballroom, including the Green Room where many famous musicians signed the walls. Some students even performed on stage and enjoyed dancing in the ballroom.
