Mrs. Haugen was awarded the Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation Teacher Supplement Grant. The money awarded was used to buy a classroom set of the book Farmer George Plants a Nation for the fifth graders. This book talks about how President Washington was an innovative farmer who conducted experiments and created inventions/innovations on his farm.
