Students attending college next year: Time to start thinking about getting your fafsa completed. Would be good to get it done before spring break! www.fafsa.gov

Hi Ethan,

For students to obtain many scholarships, both private and institutional, they must complete the FAFSA. This also includes the Federal Pell Grant. Government statistics show that the average Pell Grant awarded is more than $4,000 per year. The maximum Pell Grant for 2024 is $7,395.

Students and parents can learn more about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and why they should apply. We cover many of the most common questions, from students with divorced parents, to higher income families, DACA recipients and more. 25% of students do not complete the FAFSA and they are leaving free money for college (scholarships and grants) on the table.
