The Belmond-Klemme School Board reviewed the application materials of potential new superintendent candidates at last night’s Board meeting. And it was the consensus of the Board members to interview the following candidates (In alphabetical order):

Brandon Borseth – Brandon is currently serving as the Clear Creek Elementary School Principal in Clear Lake, Iowa. He has been the Principal there since 2022 and before that Brandon was the Dean of Students/Assistant Principal at Clear Creek Elementary School from 2019-2022. He has a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Viterbo University and Brandon is currently working on his Doctorate in Educational Administration from Drake University. Brandon’s interview will be on December 14, 2023.

Jennifer Peter – Jennifer is currently serving as a Regional Administrator for Prairie Lakes Area Education Agency. She has been in this position since 2018. Prior to being a Regional Administrator, Jennifer was the High School Principal at Ogden from 2015-2018 and before that she was the Principal at Grandwood Education Center for Woodward Granger from 2011-2015. Jennifer has a Master’s degree in Special Education from Iowa State University; a Specialist in Education Administration from Drake University. And she is currently working on her Doctorate in Educational Administration from Drake University. Jennifer’s interview will be on December 14, 2023.

Lenette Reece – Lenette is currently serving as the Principal at Richard J. Rundle Elementary School in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has been in this position since 2016. Lenette was the Assistant Principal at Laura Dearing Elementary from 2014-2016 and she was the shared Assistant Principal for one year prior to this at William E. Ferron and John R. Beatty Elementary Schools. Her education career to this point has all been in service to the Clark County School District in Nevada. Lenette has a Master’s degree in Education from Phoenix University and she holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Phoenix University. Lenette’s interview will be on December 13, 2023.

All candidates have asked for closed session interviews and each will be interviewed by four focus groups and the Board of Directors. The focus groups consists of selected high school students, certified and support staff, central office/department heads & administrators plus a parent/community member focus group.

It is the Board’s desire after reviewing input from the focus groups and their interview with each candidate to select a new superintendent on December 14, 2023. The new superintendent’s duties will begin on July 1, 2024.
