School to Community relationships is so very important and contributes to student success. We all know this, and at Belmond-Klemme schools, we are so very fortunate to be able to work with our community members to reach toward this goal for our students.
It is also very important to have Community to School relationships and support. First State Bank - Belmond is but ONE of the local businesses who contribute to the staff's self-care. First State's team quite often sends little pick-me-ups to the staff workrooms, and it is always received with gratitude.
This year, First State's team decided to provide healthy snacks for the teachers to have during their professional development days. In reality, teachers need fuel to learn, just like our students do. By providing all teachers in both buildings; BK 7-12 and Jacobson Elementary with healthy snacks, First State is also assisting with the success of our teachers in one of the most elemental ways.
Small town living is pretty cool.
