Jacobson staff members have been doing some extensive training on teacher clarity. They have been working through the process of what do they want students to know, how will we know they have mastered it, and how will we respond to it. You can see this in action in our PE room. Mrs. Sunne has learning targets and success criteria posted for each grade level. She goes over what students need to be able to do to show her they are successful at the concept that is being taught. At the end of the activities, students self-assess themselves on how successful they were within the lesson.
Jacobson staff members are working hard at increasing student achievement, and communicating more with students on what they need to be able to do to master the grade level standards.
