6th Grade: 

All three of our 6th grade teachers are continuing to provide new lessons and assignments via Google Classroom (GC).  Students are required to participate in lessons and complete all assignments that are provided by each teacher on a weekly basis.  Typically, the combined weekly assignments of all 3 teachers should be able to be completed by students working on their own in 10 hours or less. Your student is used to this routine and should be capable of doing these lessons without your assistance.  The teachers are providing the following on a weekly basis to all of their students, who normally rotate through their classrooms:

Math (Mrs. Ahrens)-There will be two lessons a week for students to complete that will be uploaded on Sundays. It will include videos of myself teaching the lesson, practice problem assignments on Google Classroom, and Khan Academy assignments. I will also be available on Wednesday’s from 1:00-3:00 live through Zoom. Please email Mrs. Ahrens if you need to do any private zoom sessions. Reading/Language Arts (Ms. Deutsch)- Using our new CCC curriculum, students will have reading assignments, oral book reports and new lessons on vocabulary.  The CCC writing segments are an important part of the CCC curriculum, so regular writing assignments will be assigned.  

Science/Social Studies (Ms. Nierengarten)- One video lesson weekly in each subject area, together with assignments and reading.
